Washington Wizards swingman Jerry Stackhouse has suffered no torn ligaments in his right knee, the National Basketball Association club announced.

Stackhouse underwent an MRI exam on Tuesday that revealed he suffers from chondromalacia, a worn lining in the back of the kneecap. His soreness has grown worse during training camp and he will not practice until he improves.

"Jerry continues to experience discomfort," team president Ernie Grunfeld said. "Our team doctors will consult with Jerry as well as the other physician who examined him and together we will determine the best course of action." Ticketmaster
